  • Michael Baty
    General Manager

A passionate woodworker by hobby, Michael Baty has never made the same thing twice, and his enthusiasm has made him an insatiable seeker of fine craftsmanship. Michael is devoted to providing the Mid-South and surrounding region with the highest level of customer service, paralleling the high quality of the products, and believes that can only come with in depth product knowledge. Michael leads a culture of knowledge and integrity at Chestnut Hall, and has driven his staff personally to furniture factories to see beyond wood veneers and fine fabrics, to know the products they present, believing this is the truest way customers can be led to the best pieces for their homes and lifestyles. A lifetime Memphian, Michael is a proud graduate of “Memphis State” with a B.A. in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Tennessee. He worked for Ernst & Young for 20 years in the consulting division, 10 of which he was a partner.
